On a regular basis I get the opportunity to conduct effective Recurrent Training, using Rotorsims Full Flight Simulators at Leonardo’s Training Academy in Sesto Calende, It. This training and checking include aircraft handling-skills, use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and implementing of correct Crew Resource Management (CRM). Proper crew teamwork, cooperation and communication results in revalidation of their Type- and Instrument(H)-rating.
COVID-19 causes some serious challenges to continue to conduct training because of travel restrictions and the necessity to maintain social-distancing. Many Authorities extended expiration dates of licenses, -ratings and -endorsements, but by proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and the use of third party’s safety measures, we ensure a safe environment to facilitate training.
